The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: Since graduating in '77 with a BS in Metallurgy, I spent 30-plus years in the welding industry with ESAB, developing new filler metals/electrodes for various applications. It has been a challenge that I really enjoyed, including opportunities to visit many different countries. Over the last decade, I have been VP-Technical in the same department, leading R&D projects and still doing some research work. My wife, Cathy, and I have one son, Steve (PSU grad in '88, BS in Chemical Engineering), and three lovely grandchildren (Jessi, Alex, and Katie). I like to scuba dive (been to some great places in the S. Pacific), play golf, work in the garden, vacation with family, and collect coins. |
